Home food as the name suggests. Felt cozy and the owners were friendly. The lamb spaghetti and fish soup were delicious. Even got a free plate of fruits afterwards (or you can choose dessert). A very nice dining experience with reasonable price.

This restaurant is a true hidden gem! It offers honest, homemade food – whatever the chef has cooked for lunch that day. The menu changes daily, and it’s worth arriving early because once it’s sold out, it’s sold out!Even as vegetarians, we were absolutely delighted. We tried dishes we probably wouldn’t have ordered otherwise – and they were simply fantastic! Every meal was prepared with love and tasted like a comforting home-cooked meal. But the absolute highlight was the dessert with caramelized carrots – without a doubt, the best dessert we have ever had!The prices are very affordable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It truly feels like coming home. We left the restaurant feeling happy and fulfilled – and we will definitely be back!A wonderful restaurant with homemade food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptionally delicious dishes – a place that feels like home and leaves you with a happy smile.

As the same owner suggests "this is not a restaurant, it's my home". I never ate in places where the concept of "homemade" was so well proposed. A family environment where you would to join the tables with the other clients and eat together, as in a family reunion.The food was good, tasty and plentiful. Particular note for the rabbit, one of the most good I've ever eaten.

We loved the home style food and atmosphere beer at the Anchorage. This small quiet restaurant run in the family home of Capt John and Irini, his sweet wife and the cook, present local dishes made in their kitchen. We have been in Crete 12 days, in and out of Heraklion and have come back to done there 3 times. The food is delicious, not expensive, and local specialties. We highly recommend eating here!
